Start/Finish located at the Dogwood Pavilion Picnic Area at Oak Mountain State Park in Pelham (near Birmingham), Alabama [view on Google Maps]. You can also download a PDF with directions here.

There is a $5 admission charge for park entry which is not covered by your entry fee. Plenty of parking is available in front of the pavilion.

Race Start & Cutoff Times

Race Start Time: 7:30 a.m. Sharp

Packet pickup for all runners will take place from 6:15 to 7:15.

In order to keep the race on schedule, we have had aid station “cut-offs” since the 2005 race:

New Cutoff Times to Come with new course in 2022

1. North Trail Head, first time (about 7-8 mi.): 2 hrs
2. Peavine Falls, first time (about 14.5 mi.): 4 hrs
3. North Trail Head, second time (21 mi.): 6 hrs
4. Peavine Falls, second time (26 mi.): 8 hrs
5. Finish Line: 9 hrs
